Effective 15 October 2026 · Last updated 15 October 2026
1. Who this covers
This privacy policy applies to the website operated by Brandon Abelson (“I,” “me”), a growth marketing consultant based in the United States, at the address where you are reading it and any subpages. It covers visitors to the site and people who contact me or book a call through it. It does not cover client engagements, which are governed by the agreement for that engagement, and it does not cover third-party sites you reach by following a link from here.
If you are a California resident, this policy also serves as the notice at collection required by the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, “CCPA”). Section 10 sets out your rights and how to use them.
2. What I collect
I collect personal information in three ways: automatically when you visit, directly when you contact me or book a call, and from advertising platforms when you arrive from an ad. The categories below use the CCPA’s definitions.
| Category | Examples | Collected |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | IP address, device and browser identifiers, cookie and pixel IDs, advertising IDs, and, if you contact me, your name and email address | Yes |
| Internet or network activity | Pages viewed, time on page, scroll depth, clicks, referring site, search terms that brought you here, the ad or campaign you arrived from, and interactions with buttons and videos | Yes |
| Geolocation data | Approximate location (city or region) inferred from your IP address. No precise GPS location. | Yes, approximate only |
| Commercial information | Whether you booked a call, and what you tell me about your business when you do | Yes, if you book or email |
| Professional or employment information | Your company, role and what you are working on, if you share it when you contact me | Yes, if you share it |
| Inferences | Audience segments that advertising platforms build from your activity across sites, which may include this one | Yes, by the platforms |
| Sensitive personal information | Government IDs, financial account details, precise location, health, race, religion, sexual orientation, biometrics, contents of private messages | No. Please don’t send it. |
I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16, and I do not sell or share the personal information of anyone I know to be under 16.
3. Where it comes from
- You. What you type into an email or a Calendly booking.
- Your browser and device, automatically, through cookies, pixels and similar technologies described in section 5.
- Advertising and analytics platforms, which tell me which campaign, ad or search brought you here and report on what visitors do in aggregate.
- Hosting and service providers, whose server logs record standard request data.
4. Why I collect it
I use personal information for these business purposes:
- Running the site, keeping it secure, and fixing problems.
- Measuring how the site is used and how well it works, including which pages people read and where they leave.
- Measuring advertising: knowing which ads and campaigns bring visitors who go on to book a call, so I can decide where to spend.
- Advertising to people who have visited, including showing ads on other sites and platforms to visitors of this one (retargeting), and building audiences on advertising platforms that resemble people who have booked.
- Responding when you contact me, preparing for a call you book, and following up afterward.
- Meeting legal obligations and enforcing my rights.
I do not use personal information for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
5. Cookies, pixels and the tools that set them
The site uses first-party and third-party cookies, pixels, tags and similar technologies. Some are strictly necessary; the rest are for analytics and advertising. The tools below are the ones in use or that I expect to use; this list is updated when it changes.
| Tool | Provider | Purpose | Opt out |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Tag Manager | Loads and manages the other tags on this list | Section 10 | |
| Google Analytics 4 | Site usage and performance measurement | Google Analytics opt-out add-on | |
| Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing | Measures ad results; shows ads to past visitors | Google Ads Settings | |
| Meta Pixel and Conversions API | Meta Platforms | Measures ad results on Facebook and Instagram; shows ads to past visitors | Meta ad preferences |
| LinkedIn Insight Tag | Measures ad results on LinkedIn; shows ads to past visitors | LinkedIn guest controls | |
| Calendly | Calendly | Booking a call; runs on Calendly’s own pages | Calendly privacy notice |
| Google Fonts | Loads the site’s typefaces; your browser sends Google the font request, including your IP address | Strictly necessary for display |
Server-side tagging may be used to send some of the above signals from a server I control rather than from your browser. That changes where the data is processed, not what is collected or who receives it, and your opt-out in section 10 applies to it in the same way.
You can also control cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of interest-based advertising across many companies at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.
6. Who it is shared with, and the “sale or sharing” question
Service providers. I disclose personal information to companies that process it on my behalf and are bound not to use it for their own purposes: the hosting provider, the email provider, Calendly, and Google in its role as the analytics processor.
Advertising platforms. When the advertising tags in section 5 are active, identifiers and internet activity are disclosed to Google, Meta and LinkedIn for cross-context behavioral advertising. Under the CCPA that counts as “sharing,” and in some cases as a “sale,” even though no money changes hands. The categories shared are identifiers, internet or network activity, approximate geolocation, and commercial information about whether you booked. I do not sell personal information for money.
Legal and safety. I will disclose personal information if required by law, a court order or a government request, or if reasonably necessary to protect my rights, your safety or the safety of others.
Business transfer. If this practice is sold, merged or reorganized, personal information may transfer to the successor, who will be bound by this policy.
I do not share personal information with data brokers, and I do not share it with any third party for their own direct marketing.
7. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. There are three ways to do it, and any one of them is enough:
- Turn on Global Privacy Control. This site honors the Global Privacy Control signal. If your browser or a browser extension sends it, the advertising tags are treated as opted out for that browser without any further action from you. Instructions are at globalprivacycontrol.org.
- Use the platform opt-outs in the table in section 5, which stop the platforms using your data for interest-based ads.
- Email me at brandon@abmarketing.ai with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share.” I will stop sharing your information within 15 business days and will not ask you to create an account or verify your identity to do so.
Opting out stops the sharing of your data with advertising platforms through this site. It does not stop the site working, and it does not stop me responding if you email or book a call. You will still see ads elsewhere; they will be less relevant.
8. How long I keep it
- Analytics data: up to 14 months, the standard retention for Google Analytics 4, after which it is deleted or aggregated.
- Advertising platform data: governed by each platform’s retention, typically 90 to 180 days for remarketing audiences.
- Server logs: up to 30 days.
- Email and booking correspondence: for as long as it is useful to the conversation, and for up to three years after the last contact unless an engagement requires longer.
I keep personal information no longer than reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected for, and for legal, accounting or dispute-resolution requirements after that.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Personal information I hold is kept in accounts protected by strong passwords and multi-factor authentication, and access is limited to me. No transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security, but I take reasonable measures appropriate to the information involved.
10. Your rights under the CCPA
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights, which I honor without discrimination. I will not deny you service, charge a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised them.
- Right to know. You can ask me what personal information I have collected about you, the categories of sources, the purposes, the categories of third parties it was disclosed to, and the specific pieces of information.
- Right to delete. You can ask me to delete personal information I have collected from you, subject to exceptions in the law (for example, information I need to complete an engagement, comply with a legal obligation, or defend a claim).
- Right to correct. You can ask me to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing. As set out in section 7.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. I do not collect sensitive personal information, so there is nothing to limit. If that changes, this section will say so.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of the above.
How to submit a request. Email brandon@abmarketing.ai with the subject line “Privacy request” and say which right you are exercising. I operate online only and have a direct relationship with the people whose information I hold, so email is the designated method.
Verification. For requests to know, delete or correct, I need to confirm you are the person the information belongs to. Usually that means replying from the email address I have on file, or answering a question about your prior contact that only you would know. I will not ask for more than I need, and I will not use what you send to verify for any other purpose.
Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. I will ask for proof that you gave the agent signed permission, and I may still ask you to verify your identity directly.
Timing. I will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. If I need more time, up to 45 further days, I will tell you why. I keep a record of requests for 24 months as the law requires.
11. Residents of other states
Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have similar rights to access, delete and correct their personal information and to opt out of targeted advertising and the sale of personal data. The same methods in sections 7 and 10 apply. If you believe I have not resolved your request, you may appeal by replying to my response with “Appeal” in the subject line; I will respond within 45 days, and you may contact your state attorney general if you are not satisfied.
12. Visitors outside the United States
This site is operated from, and its ads are targeted at, the United States. If you visit from elsewhere, your information is processed in the United States under this policy. Where the law of your country gives you rights such as access, erasure or objection, email me and I will honor them.
13. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
This site honors the Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out of sale or sharing, as described in section 7. Browser “Do Not Track” settings have no agreed meaning and are not acted on separately.
14. Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the dates at the top change with it, and material changes are flagged here for 30 days. The tools table in section 5 is kept current with what is actually deployed.
